Boston

Retirees who would like to move to Boston will have tons of things to do, from visiting a myriad of historical haunts to taking the ferry to Spectacle Island or a hop on the commuter rail. The median home price in Boston is $423,450 and the median monthly rent is $1,335.

AARP said that what makes the difference between Boston and other cities is that it has a rich culture, lots of parks, and a higher quality of life in its suburbs. Plus, if you’re retiring from a government job or the military, Massachusetts is the best place to do it. Most payments from public pensions will be exempt from state taxes.

Bad choices. Boston? Taxes. San Diego? Restrictions for COVID-19, highest taxes, highest gas prices until the State throws out the Democrats. Miami? Really? This is retirement.
