Using joint accounts
There might be situations where it’s not a good idea to have a joint account with the members of your family. As much as we don’t wish to be the case for you, for some people, it’s been a great misfortune.
Some older people have made a joint account with their children or grandchildren, and experienced money withdrawal from their accounts. Having a joint account made it much easier for the financial abusers to withdraw any sum of money they wished for, without the approval of their elder family member.
It’s a difficult situation to manage, but before signing for a joint account, make sure you trust the one you want to share your account with.
