Stealing your identity

While we’re on the “don’t give away your personal info” chapter, we might as well make another stop. Another common financial abuse you might be a victim of is identity theft. This, as we know, happens when the abuser gets in possession of your personal identification codes and profiles and uses them for his/her own interest.

The scammer might use your identity to withdraw money from your accounts, benefit certain health insurance or even worse, when committing an illegal act, like murder. Our best advice is to keep as private as possible your personal information and pay close attention to anyone who might know your identification passwords.
