14 Tips To Make The Most Of Your Social Security Check

February 22, 2021 · Personal finance

Go to restaurants with senior discounts

Living on Social Security alone means you’ll be on a fixed budget so expenses should be reduced as much as possible. But this doesn’t mean you cannot treat yourself to a nice dinner from time to time, especially when you can find a really great deal at popular food chains.

Many restaurants have all sorts of deals and offers on meals for people 55 and older, even when it comes to takeout. You could save up to 25 percent on dining out if you only go to local restaurants that offer discounts for retirees. Chili’s, for instance, offers a 10% senior discount on a daily basis while Uno Pizzeria & Grill has a 25% discount for seniors on Wednesdays, according to TheSeniorList.com.
