If you’re still feeling the panic set in, the most important advice you’re likely to hear (yes, even from us) is to just take action. Any step in the right direction is a good one. It’ll help propel you towards financial success as long as you get your foot in the door.

Start putting your bonuses away. Cut down expenses. Pay off your debts, open a Roth IRA and a traditional IRA or start contributing to your 401(k) now! Any one of these steps will help focus your mind on your goal. If at any point you think you still need time to adjust to these changes, look at yourself in the mirror and repeat after me:
