Some issues might be a little too difficult to approach during a candid one-to-one discussion, and that’s understandable. If you’ve experienced things that make you too uncomfortable to bring up to your boss directly, go through your HR department first. Remember, they are your advocates, so don’t be afraid to be honest.
One of two things can happen if you chose to do this. They could speak to your boss or manager on your behalf or they could give you impartial advice on what to do going forward. Either way, you’ll come out of it with someone that is on your side!
