Always Make Time for Family

In today’s hectic society, it might seem difficult and challenging to balance work and family. But spending quality time with your family is not impossible and it’s actually the greatest gift you can offer your loved ones. According to Pillemer, “The elders tell us that there is one great contribution to lifelong closeness for which there is no substitute: Your time.” One of his older adult interviewees named Betsey, aged 78, offered the following piece of advice: “It’s so important, while your kids are growing up, to be with them and support them. Because otherwise, you don’t really have a clue what their direction is, what they like and don’t like, and what they want to give their time to and what they’re doing with it.”
