7. Do Make Sure You’re Close to a Grocery Store

Local amenities should be next on your list. It all depends on how far you’re willing to walk or drive for either your weekly shopping or for when you need to run out for a thing or two. If your nearest grocery store is 30 minutes away this might become more and more inconvenient as you age.

Furthermore, research any other amenities you expect to use, such as libraries or dry cleaners as well as your favorite entertainment venues. You definitely don’t want to groan and roll your eyes every time you’re about to leave the house, your retirement should be enjoyable and if the little things turn out to be a massive hassle, it’s probably time to look elsewhere.
