One of the perks of retirement is that you no longer depend on your job to travel to your favorite places. The only thing that might put your dreams on hold is your budget.

The good news is that seniors and AARP members can get serious discounts on hotels and rental cars. In addition, there are also ingenious and resourceful ways to travel on a budget if you’re willing to stay with your friends or switch homes with someone else. When you’re retired, you can travel to popular destinations during weekdays and off-peak times, which could translate into big savings.
