7. What being part of the sandwich generation means?

Individuals who are part of the sandwich generation have a tendency to be concerned both with their adult children and their aging parents.

Colegrove pointed out that when having a fixed salary and responsibility, looking after other family members can be strenuous. You find yourself between spending money on holidays and other self treats and having to pay for the young and elders in your household.
