3. A mortgage in retirement?
It depends on the retiree’s situation whether having a mortgage in retirement can have its advantages or disadvantages. You could very well keep an oversized house if the mortgage payments are not that high. However, if the taxes for your property become a burden, you should consider relocating, in order to retire easily and with no stress.
