If you’re looking for a reasonably priced destination to retire, you might want to include the city of Mesa, Arizona, on your list of possible go-to places.

It’s true the city ranks first on our list with the highest median rent for a one-bedroom home, but it is still more affordable than many places across the country. Mesa is the third-most-popular city for people aged 65 and over and is located 18 miles from Phoenix, making it a perfect location for seniors who want to experience the thrills of city life in their golden years.
