Males opt for Southwest and Southeast for retirement
What is it that men want in terms of retirement? Well, one-fifth of male respondents stated their preference for the Southeast, particularly for states such as Virginia and Alabama while 16% are thinking of relocating in the Southwest.
At the other end of the spectrum, 17% of women consider the Southeast and only 11% think the Southwest is an ideal destination for retirement.
