You should opt for home security systems

Home security systems, such as alarms, lights or cameras are essential if you want to stay safe and protect your house. Technology has developed a lot in recent years and now you can control everything with your phone, so you do not have to worry too much, especially when there are some cheap devices that can help you.

“With the ease of use, individuals tend to utilize the device more and benefit from the additional layer of security which is a proven deterrent,” says Kane.

“Currently, you can buy a high definition two-megapixel bullet camera, with infrared for night viewing for several hundred dollars. These entry-level cameras will give you better facial recognition than older cameras that originally were in excess of $1,500 apiece,” says Kane.

Install a motion-activated lighting on the exterior

The truth is that we can’t control everything in real life and it is quite difficult to keep the thieves away, especially when you are not home. But if you choose a few smart tricks you could stay safe. So, all you have to do is to install a motion-activated lighting on the exterior of your house and scare the thieves. Do you want to know what the benefits are?

Well, not only will you mislead them into believing that you are home – even when you are not, but it helps you see them on the cameras, especially if they attack during the night and thankfully the lighting is cheap. “You cannot underestimate the deterrent effect of motion-activated lighting,” says Kane.
