One last spot on our list of best places to live comfortably on Social Security alone is Thailand. Its affordable medical services, delicious cuisine, rich culture and inexpensive cost of living are some of the reasons so many people choose to relocate to Thailand.

The city of Chiang Mai, Thailand’s second-largest city, is one of the places both retirees and digital nomads prefer, with a cost of living of around 1,164 a month for a couple. “The chance to live an opulent, resort lifestyle is at your fingertips,” says Rachel Devlin, an International Living contributor.

    I did not see the English speaking country of The Philippines on this list.
    I believe that the islands of paradise beat most of the countries on this list, hands down.
