Similar to dining out, you can also save some serious money while shopping for clothes. Instead of using a serious amount out of your Social Security check for clothing, take advantage of the numerous discounts and offers provided by many retailers to senior shoppers.

For example, Banana Republic offers a 10% discount to shoppers age 50 and older, you can save up to 15 percent if you are 60 and older and shop at Kohl’s every Wednesday while Ross offers a 10% discount on Tuesdays to anyone age 55 and older, according to TheSeniorList.com.
