7 Most Atrocious Nursing Homes In America

If you live in the Midwest and are looking for a nursing home near you, Aperion Care will probably come up in your search results, seeing as they have many locations in the area. Just because they’re a big name with lots of addresses, doesn’t mean they are problem free.

A location in Jacksonville, IL popped up on the Illinois Department Of Public Health’s radar in a resident-to-resident sexual assault case in 2019. Apparently a 59 year old schizophrenic man sexually assaulted a 72 year old dementia patient.

What makes this instance even more disturbing is the fact that the man was known in the facility for this sort of behavior and was caught two other times trying to enter the woman’s room.
