It’s no wonder we feel the need to immediately spend our bonus money after putting in our best efforts at work. When you receive any extra money you might feel like splurging on something you wouldn’t normally reach for. If it’s something for your peace of mind, we’re not saying you should hold back anyway, but you should definitely be a little bit mindful about your expenses. 

A good idea is to automate payments so it doesn’t feel like you’re immediately losing out on a lot of cash. Contributing to your 401(k) will drastically improve your retirement, so consider going with that first. Once all is said and done you can take a peek at whatever’s left and decide what you’d like to do with the money afterward!
