Outsourcing All Your Tasks

If you can do something yourself, you should always opt to do it instead of hiring someone else. Household chores and DIY projects come to mind but there are also more luxurious aspects of this advice. 

Trading favors with friends or family is always another option and can save you money. 

Of course, if there is something you need to outsource, think of the amount you’ll save by doing so in the long run. If it’s an upgrade to your house (a non-emergency) consider putting in the time to teach yourself how to do it instead. The internet is a treasure trove for all kinds of instructions, so put it to good use.
