Dotted with sandy beaches, tropical climate and vibrant towns, Costa Rica is a very popular destination for many expats and retirees.

In addition to its geographical attractions, Costa Rica offers retirees a low cost of living, budget-friendly real estate and access to good healthcare services at more than affordable prices. Once you become a resident, you have access to socialized medicine program in exchange for 7% and 11% of your reported monthly income. Consumer prices are 24% lower than the U.S. on average, while rental costs are about 54% lower.

    I did not see the English speaking country of The Philippines on this list.
    I believe that the islands of paradise beat most of the countries on this list, hands down.
