It seems that we’re never truly going to get rid of scammers. As long as there are vulnerable people out there and ways to exploit certain systems, the scammers will always come out of the woodwork.

Seniors have always been targeted by such individuals, primarily because they have a lot of savings that criminals are trying to get their hands on. Falling for such scams could be disastrous as you probably won’t have the means nor time to make up the damage.

There are several ways of protecting yourself from different types of scams, but the easiest thing you can do is talk to a family member or a friend. Ask for their opinion, see if they’ve ever had to deal with anything similar before or ask them for help in finding resources that will protect you.
