Real estate trickery

This might not be very common, but you still need to pay close attention. This method of fraud includes tricking an older person to take out an unnecessary mortgage at a high-interest rate, or persuade them into signing away their deed to their home. This happens because, usually, the elderly look to sell their properties and move to a care facility.

The best way to make sure you’re not being mugged by scammers is to hire a licensed real estate agent. Like this, you’ll avoid a situation where you’re being tricked into selling your house below its market value and also avoid helping a scammer getting rich at your expense.
