4. Don’t Rule Out College Towns

Seniors tend to move to senior communities, which is great if you want to be a part of your community of a similar age. But let’s face it, you don’t have to do that to find new friends your age with similar interests. Even though moving to a college town might seem counter intuitive, you have to think of the benefits.

Sure, dealing with rowdy, often loud college kids might not be ideal, but think of all the cultural events you’ll get to be a part of? Many colleges also offer courses for seniors at zero or low costs if you want to further your education. Hospitals in these towns are also in top shape, so you won’t have to worry about medical emergencies if they arise.

You’d be surprised by how stimulating moving to a college town actually feels.
