If I use credit, how many months with interest will it take to pay it off?

Don’t forget about interest! Basically, you’ll end up paying more money than the item’s worth over a long period of time instead of dishing out a large sum once and for all. If you don’t take this into account you could be in serious trouble. Make sure you account for the extra money you’re going to spend before settling.

I like to try and figure out if I can save up the amount I need by budgeting first. How long would that take me? Does it compare to what I’d pay in interest? Asking yourself this could really help make your mind up.
