How will buying it impact my cash flow or reserves?

Let’s say you do have the money to buy that new car or couch. Even if you do pay for it, how will your finances look? Will your purchase take away some of your security? Will you be forced to dip into savings?

Look at your salary and how much you’re spending each month, then make sure you’re prepared for the aftermath of buying whatever it is you want to buy.
