What It’s Really like to Retire in an RV

October 28, 2019 · Retirement Life

Know Your Needs

People buy certain types of RVs for various reasons, either a large family, a need for comfort when traveling or an impulse to spend big. When making such an important purchase, it’s important to know your needs. Don’t buy something too big just for the sake of it!

Take writer Jan Wesner Childs for example. “We thought we couldn’t survive unless we had the maximum space possible,” said Childs, who traveled a year in an RV with her husband. “If you want to travel, stick with 38 feet or under. Anything bigger is hard to tow and won’t fit in older campgrounds like national parks.”
