Some families help their children with college, some don’t. If you’ve decided to give your children a hand then it’s a good idea to pause your retirement savings, especially if we’re talking about unmatched contributions.

Remember, you’ll be helping your children stay away from huge amounts of debt. This does not guarantee that they’ll be able to help you financially as you grow older, nor should you expect it, but despite all that, families should stick together, right?
