Don’t Stay at a Job You Dislike

Another thing elder Americans told Pillemer: Do not stay in a job you hate, even if you’re promised a promotion or more money. According to an 83-year-old former athlete and athletic coach/recruiter, “the most important thing is to be involved in a profession that you absolutely love and that you look forward to going to work every day.” If you feel like your job is not the right one for you anymore, try to cope with the situation until you can safely move on. You might be able to still learn a few invaluable lessons from less-than-ideal jobs.
