5. Donate Your Time

While it’s true that having all this free time for your favorite activities is nice, seniors sometimes find that they have too much free time on their hands. Not only that, finding a new routine after exiting the workforce can feel a little daunting.

That’s why we recommend volunteering- and not just us! Studies have shown that volunteering can do more than provide a sense of purpose to seniors. It can also lower mortality and depression rates. Think about it was a two-way street. You can help others while also helping yourself. Not to mention that this is also a great way to give back to your community and get in touch with locals outside of your current friend group.
