14 Tips To Make The Most Of Your Social Security Check

February 22, 2021 · Personal finance

Move to a retirement community

If relocation has crossed your mind, then don’t rule out moving to a retirement community either. This option could cost you less than moving to a new home in a certain area. Retirement communities are “often cheaper than the surrounding homes in the market that are open to everyone,” said retirement coach Sara Zeff Geber.

In addition, living in a retirement community is safe and convenient, especially if you need help with some of the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities. Instead of feeling burdened by chores, there’s someone else doing them for you while you get to live your life to the fullest.

Retirement communities also promote socialization among residents, by organizing all sorts of fun and interesting events meant to bring people of the same age and with the same passions together. If your Social Security check can provide you a comfortable life in a retirement community, go for it!
