Aquarium

Aquariums do use a lot of energy, and turning them off is not an option for most people. The real culprit here is the heater. Depending on the optimum temperature for your fish, making small adjustments like moving the aquarium in a well-heated room might do the trick. Also, consider turning its lights off when not in use.

With an average wattage of 4 to 104 watts, these come to around $4 to $104 per year.

Desktop Computer

Surprisingly, computers don’t actually use as much power as we’d think. But the costs do add up, so it’s a good idea to unplug them when they’re not in use. Do this with the computer, monitor and accessories such as printers and speakers. After 30 minutes of inactivity, it’s time for it to go to sleep to save you some money.

The cost per year sits at $1 to $49, which isn’t a lot, but why waste even a penny? Their average wattage is 1-49 watts.
