10 Things to Know Before Spending Big

December 22, 2019 · Saving & Spending

Why am I buying this item?

There must be a reason for every new purchase, starting from simple enjoyment to more specific goals.

Take a fridge, for example. Is your current one acting up, old, too small? Has something broken in a small, inconvenient way that you simply can’t get over anymore? The same goes for cars or other household appliances. You need to figure out the value this new item will give to your life, too.

If you want to buy a new laptop or computer, do you want one just because it’s newer, shinier? If the old one no longer satisfies your needs then, yeah, it’s probably time for a change. But don’t reach for something you want to buy due to the fear of missing out.
