5 Signs You’re Emotionally Ready for Retirement

Deciding to retire in a couple of months or years will automatically imply that a few things will change in your life. There are some things you should consider, that might affect your decision. Mainly, these things imply how retirement will affect your health and happiness, or how to take into account the rising State pension age, and the impact of the pandemic on the job market.

Strange, right? There are many factors you need to know before you decide to retire, from a financial point of view but also from an emotional point. And while for many it’s a normal transition, for many others it’s completely uncommon and they might end up experiencing a loss of purpose or identity during this time. Have you ever asked yourself if you’re ready to retire? If not, here is a way to start.

    Research shows people don’t know what to do with their time after they retire? Wow, that’s not been my experience or that of anyone I know. In fact we wonder how we ever found time to work at a 40 hour a week job. Anyone who retires and doesn’t have enough pastimes to keep them happily occupied has been living for their job and needs to find new interests.
