Looking for a safe and relatively cheap area to retire? Then Greenville and Pitt County, in general, it may be what you’re looking for. The city has a dynamic air to it due to the presence of the students from East Carolina University, all this while the suburbs offer a wide range of cultural forms of entertainment, restaurant and retail shops. Here you can find the largest hospitals in the state, the Vidant Medical Center. There’s even a so-called Medical District, an area in the west of the city known for its health care facilities, offices and clinics.
