11. Do Look for States That Offer Tax Breaks for Retirees

We know it involves a lot of work, but figuring out which state is best for you in terms of taxes could save your retirement from some pretty uncomfortable monetary situations.

To give you an idea of what your financial situation will look like, we advise you to review your income from an after-tax perspective. This should give you an idea of how you’ll be able to stretch your money monthly or if you’re going to live comfortably. Then, pair this information with a few low cost places you’ve found. Is there anything that sparks your interest?
