Prioritizing your children

This might seem like a piece of insensitive advice, but in reality, it’s not. As much as you’d wish for your children to be deeply happy and successful, it doesn’t require helping them at your own expense. No matter what their plans might be, you don’t need to dig into your 401(k) plan to pay for their lavish wedding or private tuition.

Instead of that, there are many other smart solutions for their needs. Scholarships, grants, and student loans were made to help out students to reach out on their own for their dreams.

There’s no need for you to go broke in retirement just to pay for someone else’s dream, no matter how close they might be to you.
