Trust us, there’s plenty you could do in Montgomery with the $466 you’ll have left over after paying rent. In fact, you’ll probably have too much stuff to do- but that’s the beauty of retiring, right? With so much time on your hands, this city is just right for those who want to spend every day differently than the last.

You’ll have plenty of historical sites and museums to visit. After all, the 200 years of history embedded in Montgomery, it’s actually more difficult to avoid all these places. You won’t have a shortage of outdoor activities, what with so many areas where you could walk (like the downtown walkable district), bike or hike.
