If you can’t picture yourself away from a body of water during retirement, we think you should consider moving to Saginaw. This riverfront community enjoys a host of different activities depending on the season. Seniors could go riverbank fishing, ice fishing or boating after paying a measly $700 on rent.

Let’s talk about Ojibway Island too, a fascinating island park located in the downtown area that you can explore at your leisure. And if all of that is not enough, don’t worry. You’ll be right in the middle of the biggest wetland ecosystem in the state.

The Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge contains 10,000 acres of marsh, bottomland hardwood forest, and grasslands showcasing public stewardship, educational programs, and private land activities for all nature lovers.

With all these destinations to choose from you shouldn’t have any problem finding the right place for you to spend those golden years.
