The Most Desired Places to Retire in USA

March 26, 2019 · Retirement Life

The West Coast of USA

The most desired place to retire: The West Coast

When asked what areas seem most appealing for retirement, this is what Americans answered:

  • West Coast: 22%
  • Southeast: 18%
  • East Coast: 17%
  • Southwest: 13%
  • Midwest: 11%
  • Anywhere in another country: 19%

It’s not exactly news that the West Coast is as popular as ever when it comes to retirement locations. However, the Southwest’s fall from grace is quite surprising, considering states such as Arizona and New Mexico are in the top 20 states for seniors.

A more in-depth analysis can show you, however, why these changes occurred. Let’s take a closer look!
