Super savers often bring up up international travel on the list of cutbacks. There are ways to enjoy vacations without sacrificing your financial future and traveling with the US is just one of them. Cutting costs wherever necessary might seem, at first glance, that you’re ruining your hard-earned days off but trying to be objective about costs is key. 

Let’s assume you can save $200 a month on travel. How long until you reach retirement age? Add the numbers up and look at the sum you could be saving up instead. 

Picking low-cost options and avoiding any expensive souvenirs that’ll only be stored in an attic, later on, could also help. You have to be mindful of these changes. Don’t think about saving as ruining your vacation and instead relish in the knowledge that you’ll be doing your future self a solid.
