Some people plan on using their Social Security as a backup plan for their retirement. Others rely on it fully, hoping that the program would fix all of their financial problems so that they could finally rest during retirement. 

No matter which side of the coin you’re on, you’ve undoubtedly heard a lot of things about Social Security. Sadly, not everything that’s floating around is right, and the information keeps getting more and more skewed as time passes.
