10 Things You’ll Spend A Lot On In Retirement

February 17, 2020 · Saving & Spending

Financial Planning

Being able to save constantly and accumulating wealth over time is what most people strive to achieve. However, the more money and wealth you gather, the more difficult it will be to manage it and make it work in your favor. Enter financial planners. Their services can shed a lot of light onto your finances, but they will certainly not come cheap.

Certified financial planners may charge a flat annual retainer of a few thousand dollars or they may tax you on an hourly basis (from $100 to $250 per hour), by the project (from $1,000 up to $10,000) or as a percentage of your investable assets (from 0.5% to 1.25%). If you’re wondering who pays that much for financial planning, you might be surprised to find out that more than 23% of all clients are older than 70, and they own as much as 28% of total assets.
