Be careful and verify a website or app’s authenticity

Watch out for misspellings in the names or URL’s of apps and websites, and if something doesn’t look right, don’t click or download it. Legitimate websites should start with “https://“, not with “http://,“, so pay attention to the URL when trusting a website. Also, you can run a website through Norton’s Safe Web search to verify it’s authenticity. In terms of apps, choose only known and trusted brands and developers. Furthermore, you can search on BBB.org information about businesses, if they have accreditation or any complaints received.
