Enlist the Help of a Friend

Sometimes, it takes two. Don’t try to do this all on your own as you’ll only make things harder for you.

Find a friend who also has financial goals they have to tackle- the support you’ll offer each other will be immeasurable. Also, they’ll be able to hold you accountable, which will make you think twice about all the bad financial decisions you’ll make along the way.

You don’t necessarily have to share your private financial goals, but if you do and if your friend is on the same path as you are, you might even make this into a fun little game. Set small goals for each other and whoever tackles them first gets dinner of lunch from the other!
