15 Tips to Avoid Being Scammed When Shopping Online

February 24, 2020 · Saving & Spending

Crazy Discounts

When browsing online you see an ad that’s promoting a big sale with let’s say a 95% discount for an item you’ve long wanted, and you click on the ad, you’re going to be redirected to a website where you can supposedly buy the item. The trick is that when you fill in your personal information in order to receive to place your order for the product, the scammer is gonna steal the info and soon your money, too.

So, when a discount sounds too good to be true and the ad or the website seems a little off, then maybe it’s an online scam. You can simply avoid being tricked by doing a little research. If you find that the same item is selling on other websites at a completely different price, it’s pretty obvious that the crazy discount it’s just an attempt to steal your money.
