Financial Engines Social Security Planner

You can find this app for free online on the Financial Engines platform. All you have to do is to enter a simple set of information, and you’ll receive a couple of recommendations on how to maximize your Social Security benefits.

Interestingly enough, the app is designed to use mathematical algorithms to teach you when to start claiming benefits. It’s suitable if you don’t know when to claim your Social Security, often being difficult to decide whether to wait some more and claim a higher benefit or to directly take advantage of the Social Security income.

It’s even more recommended if you find yourself flexible about starting on your Social Security benefits.
