If you decide to live here, you’ll be a young-at-heart retiree, given the fact that it’s the city of the University of Oklahoma and there are lots of college students. The average rent here is $715, and it’s the seventh-lowest among cities on this list!

Lake Charles, Louisiana

Lake Charles has the third-lowest rent cost compared to any other city in this study. If you’re a retiree who’s interested in living near the water, including all the recreational opportunities involved, then this is the perfect place to do so! The average rent in this city is only $622, which is pretty good!
