January 14, 2021 · Retirement Life

Managers in Education and Related Fields

According to a recent survey, only 26.1% of people who work in this field believe they will work past the age of 65, meaning that most managers in education and related fields plan on retiring by the time they turn 62. Overall, by 65, 74% of workers plan on retiring.

With an annual average wage of $95,270 and estimated 401(k) savings of $598,424, it’s no wonder so many people in this profession would like to retire earlier than the national average.

Lawyers and Judges

On average, lawyers and judges do not believe they will work past the age of 65. In fact, 61.3% of them think they will continue working past that age.

It’s no secret that lawyers and judges have incredibly high salaries with an annual average wage of $137,660. Thanks to that, people in this profession are able to reliably save more for their retirement as their estimated 401(k) savings come to around $864,690.

That means that by the time they reach the age of 62, they can retire comfortably and focus on family, hobbies, and traveling.
