Having a Second Car

Fuel, insurance, tax, and maintenance can stack up really quickly, especially if you’ve got two cars. It’s particularly hard to give up one in your household unless you take a good long look at the usage you’re getting from both. In some cases, unless you’re willing to look into carpooling, public transportation or even cycling, owning just one car might even seem impossible. 

If you really want to start saving more but aren’t sure about this particular sacrifice, try to come up with a number. How much is that second vehicle costing you and more importantly, how much could it mean once you’ve reached retirement age?
