Portugal

Portugal is people’s favorite destination, and more people are deciding to move there every year. Portugal offers more than 300 days a year of sun and a lower cost of living than its next-door neighbor Spain. You can rent an apartment in a smaller town, which would be your best bet for an affordable retirement.

If you desire to apply for a residence permit here, you need to go to the Portuguese consulate in the US and bring valid proof of income, a passport, and health insurance and show that you’ve undergone a criminal background check. Other than that, enjoy the sunny weather!
